The incoming Mazda CX-8 will start in Australia from $48,294 drive-away for buyers in the Melbourne metro area, according to dealer documents obtained this week by CarAdvice. Pricing for other areas, and the usual before-charges prices, were not revealed.
非公式ながら、グレードと価格、装備の概要などが分かったようです。それによると、オーストラリア仕様だからと言って特別な装備や機能はないようです。エンジンも140kW/450Nmを発揮するSKY-D 2.2のみを搭載しています。
インフォテインメントシステムについては、「A 7.0-inch touchscreen without Apple CarPlay or Android Auto will be standard inside」です。いったい、どのタイミングでこれらの規格に対応するのでしょうね？？
既にCX-9というフルサイズの7人乗りがあるのに、それに近いサイズのCX-8を導入した理由を豪州マツダのマネージングディレクターは、「The car is the perfect fit for those who need the versatility of seven seats and the economy that diesel affords（7人乗りの多用途性とディーゼルの経済性を必要とする人々に最適な車です）.」と話しています。
