マツダが、海外メディアのインタビューに次期RXにターボチャージャー搭載を示唆するコメントをしたようです。
マツダの研究開発のボス、藤原氏がCarsGuideに話したことは、
“I want to introduce new rotary without electrification first,” Fujiwara said.
“If I introduce with both, people will say electrification helped the rotary engine.”“Turbocharger is one of the big contributor for future rotary engines,” he said.
「”最初に”新型ロータリー（エンジン）を電化なしに導入したい…ターボチャージャーは、将来のロータリーエンジンに対して大きな貢献者の一つだ。」ということを言ったようです。
まもなく北米で発表される次期CX-9にもターボを採用したSKY-Gが載るとのもっぱらの噂なので、マツダが「走る歓び」と環境性能の両立の手段の1つにターボを考えるのは、自然の流れ（？）なのでしょうか。

SKYACTIV-Rターボを載せたRX-7が、2017年に登場し、電化技術を採用したSKYACTIV-Rを採用したRX-9が2020年に発表される、なんて書いています。もう、ここまで来るとRX-VISION同様、「叶えたい夢のリストの1つ」のようです。
まずは、SKYACTIV-Rに関した技術発表が近いうちに行われることを期待したいですね。
