マツダMX-5とスバルBRZの対決動画（と言ってもそれぞれ別々に走って評価しています）が公開されています。
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Carlos Lago gets behind the wheel of the all-new Mazda MX-5 Miata in his final video for The Motor Trend Channel. This is the Club version, fitted with Bilstein shocks, Brembo brakes, and BBS wheels. It should be a recipe for a track-worthy, canyon-carving, truly sublime driver’s car. But then there’s the Subaru BRZ. Its sharp handling, revvy flat-4, and stupendous balance have proven time and again that it can dominate its segment. MX-5の方が数字がいいですね。ただし、このMX-5は、クラブエディションで17インチBBSホイール、ブレンボのブレーキ、ビルシュタイン・サスペンションというリッチな仕様になっています。
走りを大切にするメーカーのFRスポーツカーだけあって、対決結果は、ほとんどイーブンのように見えます。ただ、動画を見ているとMX-5のエキゾーストノートが、回したくなる実に気持ちいい音なんです。オープンクルージングと合わせ、性格はだいぶ異なっているのが面白いです。
