海外メディアが、Mazda5の生産が終了し、後継車種は用意されないと伝えています。まじですか？
ずいぶんと唐突な感じがします。Mazda5のセールスがUKもふくめて世界的に著しく低下しているから、というのが理由のようです。MPVよりもSUVに人気が集まっていることが影響しているのでしょうか。

Mazda officials confirmed to What Car? that sales of the 5 both in the UK and worldwide had dropped significantly in the face of growing popularity from both five- and 7-seat SUVs.
Annual sales of the Mazda 5 in the UK are now only in the hundreds, and as such the company will not be replacing it.

何度か引用しているマツダ技報では、Mazda5（プレマシー）に相当すると思われるボディーシェルの検討はされていました。アクセラをベースに開発されていると思われていただけに「まじ？」という印象です。
（信用出来ないことも多いですが）自動車雑誌でも新型アクセラが登場するだろうと予想しています。
